Sentinel II Brown F.R.B.S., John
John Brown was born in 1931 and trained at Hornsey School of Art and then under Howard Bate, RA. His sculpture is about human relationships and emotions, expressed in a simplified abstracted way. John Brown's sculptures are exhibited widely and are now in many private and public collections. Millennium projects were 'Joy of the Family' for Priors Court School, Thatcham and 'Tete a Tete' sited in Harpenden Town Centre.

Green orange yellow 1 Burn, Alex
Alex Burn is very interested in the presence of textures, layers and depth in his work. His paintings are built up over some time with a repeated process of applying layers of mixted media, which interact with each other, followed by a period of erosion, before the cycle repeats itself.

Tuscany Night - Commission Caines RWA, Susan
Susan Caines studied at the West of England College of Art and in 1956 gained an Art Teachers Diploma. After raising her three children she returned to full time painting in 1988 and has since had numerous solo and group exhibitons of her work. She has been influenced by the flattened space and decorative qualities of Primitive Siennese paintings also the paintings of Piero della Francesca, Fra Angelico and Lorenzetti. Courbet, Turner, Christopher Wood, and Ben Nicolson are also cited as other artists she admires.

The Shroud Carmichael, John
John Carmichael seeks to show the many facets of the beauty and sensuality of the unadorned female form, using a wide variety of different approaches, sometimes classical or romantic, sometimes graphical or abstract - and even sometimes with humour! Although many of his nudes are photographed in black and white, some have been transformed into striking and original colour images.

White Veil Comyn, Christine
Christine Comyn demonstrated a natural aptitude for painting and drawing at very young age and refined her artistic talents at the Saint-Luke Academy in Ghent (Belgium). Upon completing her education, she worked as an illustrator for Lannoo book publishers from 1978 until 1983. In 1981, at the age of 24, she became an instructor at the Academy of Modern Art in Tielt, and maintained this position until 1997. Eventually, Christine yearned to explore a more expressive approach through her own art and abandoned painting by order. In 1983, Comyn’s artistic journey began by mastering the delicate and unpredictable technique of watercolour. Her figurative watercolours showed graceful young females and were soon recognised by Mr. Willy Bosschem, director of the Academy of Modern Art of Ostend (Belgium), who invited her to exhibit in the "Thermae Palace Hotel" in Ostend in 1988.
